As we age...: The cramping could be uterine in origin but more likely is coming from your bowels. Hemorrhoids can occur at any age but if you have had children are more likely to have originated from those pregnancies and recently aggravated by constipation for instance.

Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Cramps not sign: Cervical cancer does not cause cramps.  Cramping is often related to the hormones of ovulation and premenstrual changes.

Menstral cramps: I have found that the best medication to control terrible menstral cramps are the class of drugs known as the antiprostaglanding durgs.  The best of the class I have found is anaprox (naproxen) ds which requires an rs, but you can get almost the same relief with aleve 250mg 3 pills twice/day which is over the counter.
