Pregnant: By hpt I assume you mean home pregnancy test?  If you have missed a period would check the test again. If you have not, you are not pregnant. The doxycycline is unlikely to have influenced the efficacy of Plan B. You might want to discuss other means of contraception with your gynecologist. Good luck.

Not indicated: ... unless you believe your "physical" protection (condoms?) broke.  Male condoms typically have 99+ % protection.  And yes it is dangerous if you use it "often", though there is no scientific data supporting use after every intercourse.  The best way for you to be sure of when the "danger zone" occurs is to chart your ovulation every month and avoid unprotected intercourse then.

i took plan b after sex and then monday night started on clindamyclin for tonsillitis. i take it 3x/day 300mg. will effect plan b effectiveness?

Note likely.: Antibiotics which can affect Plan B:  ampicillin, cotrimoxazole (in Bactrim), Rifampin, tetracycline, &amp; clarithromycin.

Risky: It has a high chance of success but it still has a small failure rate. I recommend using a reliable form of contraception that will cover you all the time rather than use sporadically with plan B after intercourse.
