please assist, i have a problem after eating food it like i have a problem digesting, what could be the cause, i have even changed diet but seems like everything i eat doesn't go down well.. please help what can i do to feel normal and healthy after?

Problem digesting: Problem digesting is a very vague term. If you can be more specific with your symptoms. Do you feel reflux, or nausea, or lose stools, or bloating, excessive gas. As varied as the symptoms can be the reasons can be diverse as well from inflammation of the stomach to gall bladder problems, pancreas issues or irritable bowels. Usually a health diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep helps.

Belching: Belching even while your stomach is empty suggests air swallowing(aerophagia) where one habitually swallows air to make himself belch. Belching following a meal can  also be due to aerophagia but also to gassy food ingesting, hiatal hernia or gall bladder dysfunction. Taking simethicone after meals helps prevent gas buildup.

The trace amounts of any such chemicals in commercial products has been around for decades.It does not compare to the amount inhaled by field workers/landscapers, etc who are at risk. Many sites suggesting such risk are looking for donations to support their research. I ignore these exaggerated claims as garbage.

hi, so today morning i woke up and noticed that i could see my epiglottis, and i started to freak out cause ive never noticed it before. it disappears and then pops up again after eating food. is this something i should be worried about?

: Epiglottis can sometimes be seen by opening the mouth wide and looking at the back of the throat. I am not sure if you saw that unless you are a doc. If you have no other symptoms nothing needs to be done. If you still worry go to your doc/ ent and have it checked

Thus, vomiting apparatus responds to a variety of GI &amp; brain inputs.

GI symptoms: Glad your MD ordered tests and that all were clear.  Perhaps this has to do w/the food you are eating.  Wheat and dairy are the top allergens.  Please see doctor and discuss how to identify what food(s) you may be sensitive to.  Peace and good health.

Dont swallow air: In general eating slowly and making sure not to swallow air might help.  If you feel it is still a problem after doing this - go see a gastroenterologist.

Hard to say: You say 4-5 docs with the benefit of a history, physical exam and maybe tests have not helped. The condition sounds like irritable bowel syndrome which can be life long and managed but not "cured".You may want to review your doc's past work and see if testing for gluten sensitivity and lactose intolerance were done.Avoiding aggravating foods can help.Loperamide can help decrease stool frequency.
