Most common side effect of these medications is drowsiness.  Care must be taken with continuous use or high doses of benzodiazepines.

I have not heard of : That as a remedy. Probably the simplest way to reduce nausea ; motion sickeness is with ginger. You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger. Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger ; steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.

Motion sickness: Benzodiazepines as xanax, (alprazolam) aren't as good as antihistamines like dramamine in controlling motion sickness, but in your case if you were on the drug for some time, it might be the best choice.It is rather not recommended to combine antihistamines of any kind with benzodiazepines except under medical supervision, combination would lead to CNS depression, good luck
