Seizures: Neurontin (gabapentin) appears to be a good option. However if it is to substitute Depakote it might not be strong enough to work alone. Other options include Keppra (levetiracetam) or Lamictal (lamotrigine). Check with your neurologist to see if these are feasible options.

Yes but unlikely. NO: Among all medications for schizophrenia ( antipsychotics/ old and new ) , perphenazine is mild and  least likely to cause seizures at the dose you are taking. All medications available till now can potentially make seizures worse.

Possibly: Any medicine can have any side effect.  Even though seizure medication doesn't commonly cause ed, medication needs to be considered as a possible cause. 

Work with your physician to see if a change is safe for you.  If you are able to change meds and the ed resolves, then there is your answer.

Yes: Opioids lower your seizure threshold and therefore you may be at risk of having a seizure.  Please see your doctor about what to do.

Exercise: Daily exercise should slow the born destruction, ask your physician about vitamine d levels and may be he will order the test and replacement if necessary.

was recently given tramadol 50mg to take if i needed it. haven't taken any yet. i see one of the unique side effects is seizure. that may be rare but, what might cause a person to be more likely to have a seizure when taking this drug?

: Tramadol very rarely can promote seizure activity, and this appears to occur in those with history of epilepsy, and also taking relatively high doses, and rarely with sudden cessation after chronic high dose therapies.   If you take 2 or 3 per day, as needed, this would not necessarily be risky or dangerous
