Lots of ways: Back pimples are a turn-off for some women and if this is the case, you want to get treated.   I have had a great deal of success with topical Clindamycin for patients; my own acne was severe and i spent many years on tetracycline with good results.  Failing that, a dermatologist is needed to prescribe accutane. There's no reason that in the 21st century your acne can't be controlled.

Get a biopsy: This problem could be from something more simple to something related to an autoimmune related disease.  I would recommend a visit to your dermatologist 
for evaluation and treatment.

Pimples: The pimples is probably acne which can develop especially if she is perspiring secondary to sports. Benzyl peroxide may be helpful.

Body acne: can be difficult to treat if it is widespread or difficult to reach for application of topical acne products (available over the counter).  Avoiding harsh or fragrances soaps will help reduce inflammation, but severe cases are sometimes treated with oral medications (Rx).

Unrelated: Drink as  much water as you think you need and trust your body. The fact that you're not drinking so much water as some non-scientist thinks you should isn't causing your acne. Acne over the back usually requires a systemic antibiotic in addition to topical rx, and you may be a candidate for one of the strong rx's by a dermatologist.

i have something like a boil or a pimple on my upper back which i believe is in line with my spine. i've had it for maybe 3 days now and it popped on it's own yesterday. how do i know if it's a pimple or a boil? should i be worried. please help?

Skin infection : Pimples and boils are common. They can be treated with antibiotic creams, oral antibiotics or a procedure to drain them

Rash: Since the rash is limited to your back and if it is on both sides of the spine, it could be a type of heat rash. A viral rash like shingles stays on one side only. Have a physician examine you if the rash persists or spreads.

See your physician.: Pimples on trunk and chest are  uncommon in men of your age. I do wonder if the reaction you have are really pimples or if they are allergic reaction to new laundry products, fabric softener, or soaps.  You really need to see your doctor to let him evaluate it better.  Best wishes.
