Image study: The fracture, or contusion of patela, or even a sprain strain of knee joinit can have similar pain and confused symptoms. A X-ray will rule out boney problem for most part.

Depends: It depends if the kneecap is a displaced vs nondisplaced fracture. A nondisplced fracture will heal on its own. A displaced fracture may require screws to approximate the kneecap and to heal properly.

12/2019 mri dislocated patella, bone bruise on the femur and patella, mpfl damage, mild meniscus tears (dance injury). returned to swim too soon, but then rested w pt for 9wks. now medial pain/snap when swim/run, shaky for 1 leg squats. is this bad?

Knee pain; arthritis: Pain in joints can come with weather change: usually when barometer drops.  Suspect it's due to fluid shifts. Rheumatologist in Denver confirmed this by using pressure chambers - with Joint swelling seen in rheumatoid. Supect you have a 'traumatic arthropathy' which can lead to osteoarthritis. In Europe Chondroitin sulfate found to be protective of cartilage, not confirmed in USA, but its harmless

i'm 56 it's been 8 weeks (walking with2 crutches now 1) being home after lcl partial tear/bone fracture bruises. last week been injured again during physical therapy session. lost range of motion again, can't bend knee. how long recovery, what to do?

: Go back to original surgeon if happy with out come. He will be able access the joint the best. Obviously something happened that is preventing you from bending the knee
