26 y.o female with anxiety. sometimes i get hot/red ears and cheeks not always when i am feeling anxious just randomly. is this just random flushing?

Probably: From your description, it is probably just flushing, but if it continues, then please mention it to your DR on your next visit.

Also please get your BP checked somewhere-as elevated BP may also cause this.

Vasodilation: Many healthy people have exaggerated dilatations of the superficial blood vessels of the cheeks and ears. Anxiety as well as substances like alcohol can provoke this reaction which is a form of blushing &amp; is not serious. There are some glandular disorders or neuroendocrine tumors than can present like that, but I'm betting you have no medical issues. In those cases the reaction can be spontaneous.

Possibly: Red ears indicate an increase in vascular flow and suggests that the control mechanisms of the autonomic (automatic) nervous system is compromised and unbalanced. Everything is connected to everything else !

Congrats on managing: your drinking.  When properly used is ok but otherwise destroys health and lives.  The heat you mention is probably not related to the healthy change you made.  Please see your doc who MAY take a look at your thyroid and other hormones.  Peace and good health.
