Inflammation: A "hot" knee would be a sign of inflammation within the knee joint.  Inflammation can cause not only heat, but pain, swelling and sometimes redness.  Recommend an orthopaedic consult for evaluation.

1yr old boy has hot knees. like, they are red and hot to the touch? it's been like this for a few months now. is this weird? or not?

See a pediatrician: While this could be nothing, even just related to crawling, there is a type of juvenile onset rheumatoid arthritis and a couple other inflammatory issues you should rule out. See your pediatrician and just ask them to take a look and do an exam and they will most likely be able to see and feel if it looks inflammatory or not. If there is any pain, make the appointment as soon as possible.

i have had a very serious knee pain for about a month now and don't know what it is. it's hot knee that will hurt bad when bending it. no arthritis. ?

See your doctor: There are many conditions that can cause an inflamed, hot knee. Multiple types of arthritis, joint infections, or gout are all possibilities. You may need testing to get a correct diagnosis, so that proper treatment can be instituted. Hope this helps!

hi,just briefly.2years ago.hot knees started then hands/shins/feet and face.recently i started feeling very hotter in my left foots palm one specific spot about as round as the bottom of a mug.this comes and goes a few times a day for about 2weeks.

Leaning on them?: If you have had pressure on them that can cause it.  Otherwise if it persists consider seeing a doctor to rule out arthritis or any other problem.  Hope it goes away on its own.  If you are taking any medication that may be a temporary side effect.

?knee: I assume the symptoms are emanating from the knee. Unless there has been a recent injury knee discomfort, aggravated by motion, may be from simple overuse, arthritis, tendonitis or more internal knee joint pathology such as cartilage or ligament damage. Try rest,cold alternating with hot applications and, if you can take it, Advil or Aleve for a week. If no improvement, see yoursELf or an orthoped

More details: Does you face flush easily?  How long have you had the problem? The first thing i can think of is rosacea in which the face flushes whenever there is a rise of core body temperature or from eating spicy foods (alcohol also). Triamcinolone cream may control it temporarily but there are other better options. However rosacea is not associated with hot knees and feet and thus you need to your doctor.

red, hot, painful knees for 5+ months. 7/10 pain level. began shortly after gas skin infection that was misdiagnosed+untreated. rheum conditions ruled out. pain migrates to wrist and hand joints. no relief with aspirin. extreme fatigue. any thoughts?

: This is a very complex issue. And we do not have all the information. I would recommend consulting a Rheumatologist if you have not.  And an internist.
