     If you were a 17 year old male, i would probably say that being horny a lot of the time was pretty normal. The main question here, is if your libido (sex drive) is causing problems in your life. 
    If you have a very strong sex drive  and your partner has very little, that can create tension in a relationship.  If you push to have sex often and your partner becomes exhausted, physically sore or feels coherced- that can ruin a relationship.  Does your horniness lead to problems in other areas of your life ?   If you masturbate a lot & it goes against religious beliefs or if you feel guilty about it; that  could leave you feeling spiritually compromised.   Spending too much time either fantasizing about sex or engaged in some form of erotic activity can make you unproductive  or neglectful in other areas of life. If you find that you are spending money on 1-900 numbers, adult videos and computer pornographically that can hit  your wallet hard. If you use prostitues to satisfy your sex drive or you engage in any form of high risk sex; that can hurt your health. 
   Thinking about sex can be a way to handle boredom.  It can also help to distract you if things in your life are stressful.  Too much of anything is just that:  "too much". If your focus on sex is exclusive or it is negatively impacting you financially, legally, spiritually, socially or in regards to your health than that it is not balanced.  If this was the case, consider sexaholics anonymous or seeing a therapist.
   We are sexual beings.  So if you have a strong sex drive, but it causes you no problems, then it is likely not a problem. Take care.

Take your meds: make sure you take your medicine ( lamictal )  as instructed and not skipping your med. you need to see your doctor and discuss about this as this could be related to your bipolar disorder ( manic episode). meaning that your doctor may need to adjust your medication or you need to ensure that you take your medication.  please,please go to see your MD and get checked .and always practice safe sex.
