 In future do remember to wear Sun Screen and Avoid 11 to 2 Sun light for prolonged period of time.

Not vinegar.: Vinegar will make you smell like a salad, but won't do much of anything for your sunburn. Apply cool washcloths and take Ibuprofen to decrease the pain and inflammation. And please learn the lesson that mr. Sun is trying to teach you; enjoy his warmth and light, but respect his power.

Not fast: Keep sunburn cool with moist cool/cold compresses.  Avoid alcohol containing products.  Break off pieces of aloe vera plant & apply sap to  skin.  Consider non-steroidal anti-inflammatory meds to reduce pain.  Don’t yank off peeling skin or burst blisters. Seek medical care for severe pain, fever, lack of improvement of symptoms within several days or if a large surface area is blistered.

Aloe Vera: Consider breaking off pieces of an aloe vera plant. Gently rub the sap on the effected skin.

Yes and no: A sunburn can open the skin barrier to surface germs that can enter the oozing open wound and cause cellulitis or impetigo. Keeping the burn clean and using antibiotic sprays or ointments can prevent this. If it is progressing, see the doc for additional measures.

First: take an anti-: Inflammatory agents. For Ibuprofen the dose is 10 mg/kg/dose taken after meals every 8 hrs. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not an anti-inflammatory drug and it also taken every 4 hrs.  It is much less doable outside a hospital setting. Tylenol (acetaminophen) dosing is 10-15 mg/kg/dose every 4 hrs.

Topical Sprays: The topical anaesthetic sprays for sunburn are helpful as are medications such as Ibuprofen and acetomenophen. We all should use sunblock for ultraviolet ray exposure.  Prevention is the best cure, especially persons with fair skin. While we need some sun exposure for vitamin d, skin cancers are on  the rise and may be prevented by avoiding excessive exposure to the sun and ultraviolet rays.

Sun burn: Medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and Naproxen to decrease pain and inflammation are useful, especially when started early.For mild sunburn, cool compresses with equal parts of milk and water may suffice. Cold compresses with burow's solution may also be used. .Aloe vera gel or aloe-based lotions may soothe irritated skin. These can be found in the drugstore. Prescription topical steroids.

Not overnight: Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis) can reduce redness, pain, itching & swelling from a burn. It has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory & antibacterial / antifungal qualities.
