Protein precursor: Glutamine is an amino acid and is a common component of many of the protein foods in our diet and a necessary building block for muscle.    It is unlikely to cause major side effects if taken along with a normal diet and generous fluids.

Can't tell.: Info provided is too vague. Symptoms sound typical for thyroid disease but if thyroid levels are normal that is not likely the problem.  Not sure what hormones are high.  "female hormones" vary monthly and with pregnancy.   Pregnancy could also cause your symptoms. There are other uncommon causes of your symptoms - endo will them well.

Not likely : Hair loss does occur temporarily after being pregnant. This typically occurs in the first few months and resolved by 6 to 9 months. It is called telogen effluvium. Since it has been one year it is not likely to be related to your current problem

Testosterone assays are of little value in a baldness workup despite what you may hear, but worthwhile in an erectile dysfunction workup. Hypothyroidism leads to a non-male-pattern baldness and thyroid screen is worthwhile every few years.

Hair loss in 25 yo M: What is the pattern of hair loss?  Is it frontal, temporal and vertex like male pattern hair loss?  Family history of pattern hair loss?  If the hair loss is diffuse from all over the scalp, particularly if all the roots are white, you need an exam by a dermatologist to see if this is another form of hair loss which may be caused by meds, stress, metabolic problems, etc. Hair oil does not help.
