Yes but . . .: We don't think in terms of "thickness" per se but rather density, more specifically bone density. So even if you've reached your maximum height due to closure of growth plates, you can get stronger bones. Our big concern is that bone strength or density will decrease later on as we age and increase risk of osteoporotic fracture. At 21yo, best for bones is eating healthy &amp; exercising regularly

The possible causes include infection and cancer. Your doctor needs to do an evaluation to exclude other possible treatable causes of bone pain.

Most likely arthri--: Tis is present and in cold weather, one experiences pain. In some places its called rheumatism.
So most likely have some arthritis. You don't need the weatherman to tell you a cold front is on its way towards your area.

Assessment: Bone pain can be due to a lot of different things, some not major problems while others serious.  When you &amp; others post a question on this web site it would help to be more specific (assuming you have sufficient space). Where is the bone pain, how long have you had it, what seems to have brought it on, what have you tried re treatment, other medical issues, pertinent family history, etc.

Depends: That is really hard to say without seeing the study. Uptake of the material indicates bone metabolism....We often see more metabolism near joints. If there is a focal area of intense metabolism (in an area that doesnt usually look that way), it could be due to trauma (fracture), infection or even tumor. These things must be assessed together with history and other lab data..And physical exam.

Could be need xrays: It is possible have it checked and xrayed to find the cause.

Yes: This is a very serious finding and you should be under the care of an oncologist ASAP. Your family physician can make a referral for you.

Middle ear problem: This means you have a middle ear (Tiny ear bones) problem probably due to infections. Your ENT Provider will explain in more detail and tell you what treatment he/she recommends!
