Go to ER or your doc: Need evaluation by a physician  to make sure the injury did not cause damage , or did not have torsion ( twisting ) You may need a sonogram

in scuffle with friends, i got slight hit on testicles. even an hour later, it's still hurting, dull pain in my right ball & down leg but not in left.

Pain should subside: Try ICE ("uncomfortable at firtst but WILL help!) and rest . The pain should subside within 24 hours and if not should be checked by a Medical Professional!

: Bell clapper deformity is a congenital problem, i.e. you are born with this condition and it's not caused by trauma.

i was playing catcher at a baseball practice and got hit on the testicles by an 80-85 mph fastball. i was wearing a cup but it was a little small. i couldnt breathe and i was nauseous and i was vomiting. should i see a doctor?

Accepted Answer

Yes: No way to tell if serious (unlikely) or painful but trivial.  You can get bleeding beneath the Tunica Albuginea, a fibrous sack that encapsulates the testes.  This “sack” does not expand and if you get bleeding from the testes into this sack, you can get testicular necrosis (unlikely but possible)

Check with your local doc (or Urgent Care Center)

a few days ago i got lightly hit on my left testicle while naked. i don't feel any pain, but should i still go to a doctor to see if i damaged anything. could i look at myself to see if anything is wrong. how do i know if my testicle is damaged?

Probably not: Many men experience " a kick or two" to your testicles and generally it does not cause any significant damage that will effect your future reproductive function.  Good luck and try to avoid any further insults.

Chronic pain: Testicular injuries vary from mild bruising to complete rupture where the lining that holds the testicular tissue breaks.  This can set up a severe inflammatory reaction that can lead to bleeding, fluid build up and, in extreme cases, loss of the testicle.  A scrotal ultrasound can help see if any of these possibilities apply. Some men develop chronic pain from testicular injuries.

Testicle trauma: You likely had some trauma resulting in the accumulation of fluid or blood (a hematoma).  You can apply cool compresses or ice (in a cloth or bag, not directly on the skin) for 15 minute intervals.  Avoid aspirin.  If no better in a few days or if you develop pain, get an evaluation.

Wear protection: It is definitely possible to severely injure the testes with a blunt injury. Most of the time there is not a significant injury and the pain resolves on its own. If you have swelling of the scrotum, you should be evaluated with an ultrasound to see if the testis has been ruptured and requires fixing surgically. Remember to wear proper protection for contact sports and baseball.

Depends on situation: If his testis continue to make healthy swimmers, fertility is maintained.A simple sperm analysis is helpful with this prediction.
