Tongue lesions: These could be normal taste buds but without seeing them it would be difficult to say.  Get them checked out.

Doubtful: may be result of food allergy or medicine response.  If it does not resolve, visit a dentist for diagnosis and treatment

Could be...: Any type of irritation or infection.  Could be from rough filling, chipped tooth, burn, biting tongue, herpes, bacterial or viral infection, and so many other sources.  If not gone in a few days see your dentist.

i have large bumps on the back of my tongue, bad breathe, white patches on my tongue, and extra mucus. i have a feeling its oral herpes, if it is will i ever get my tongue back to normal and mouth back to normal. is there something i can take?

Probably not hsv: The symptoms of oral herpes are painful blisters, or ulcerations on your lips or the inside of your mouth.  Herpes does not cause any lesions on the tongue.  Make sure to brush your teeth regularly and consider seeing a doctor for the other symptoms as it could be a sign of another infection

i started with a cold sore and now have many more all over my mouth. i also have red bumps on the back of my tongue and throat. my gums are inflamed and bleed when i brush my teeth, and seem to be cut up. is that a side effect of herpes too?

Dr. can check throat: Throat pain can be from strep throat (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause. One's FIRST case of oral herpes can cause mouth sores from front to back. Later recurrences should cause cold sores on or near the lips. To lessen mouth pain, one can see her doctor and ask about mouth rinses (some contain anesthetic, Maalox, Benadryl, etc.).

Craters: I'm afraid "craters" is not a diagnostic term.  Haw far back are they?  Size?  Dueation?  Color?  To be diagnosed and properly advised (treatment planned) you will have to be seen.  Please make an appointment with your Dentist.

Check with your doc: Your symptoms and findings sound more like strep throat but why not be certain and get a quick test at your local doctor's office.

Sore tongue: There are numerous possibilities and there is no way to be sure without more information and a visual examination.
If the spots and pain last longer than 7-10 days, see your dentist or an oral surgeon.
