Let me explain: Some patients experience improvement in joint symptoms after iron depletion therapy, but the majority do not. 
Nsaids and Acetaminophen are useful for relief of arthralgia in hemochromatosis.
Indocin also use for the treatment and steroid injection could help.

Manage it: Classic hemochromatosis is easy to manage with phlebotomy and you should be sure it's well-controlled when you're on Methotrexate for something else, as this medication is rough on your liver. Both dermatology and rheumatology specialists should be participating in your long-term care. Your prognosis today is much better than in the past ; you may be a candidate for a biotech therapy.

Depends: Joint pain can be related to an injury, degenerative process or several other causes.  The major cause of joint pain that i see in my orthopedic practice is weight related.  Morbid obesity is the fastest growing segment of patients with joint pain.  The knees are affected the most, followed by the hip and lumbar spine. If you can lose weight you can limit chance of joint pain.

also i( would try to keep the joints moving

and possibly an injection or physical therapy.

Ice: Initially a short course of rest, ice, compression, and elevation will usually calm the pain down. If this does not help your physician may prescribe anti-inflammatories and physical therapy.  Sometimes injections can be used to help decrease the pain and facilitate therapy.
