Not??: Cramps are a conundrum. Proposed causes are all neurologic including spinal stenosis, hyperventilation and GOK-God Only Knows.  We  do not know the causes. Eecent article suggested that confusing your nervous system by eating very picky food may help.  Breathing in a paper bag may also help.  Docs do not know everything. . .yet or ever. Oh yes, overuse can also be trigger so the heels might do it.

It's possible: Wearing high heels stretches the muscles and tendons and the increased tone it causes can lead to cramps.

Magnesium deficiency: Many of my patients who complain of leg cramps often have either an iron defiency, ie have your complete blood coun.  Checked or magnesium deficency. Dehydration leading to.Potassium and sodium deficiency can also lead to cramps so hydrate well. Lastly, do some simple leg exercises in which you.Lean hands first against a wall and stretch out both calves.

Heel &amp; calf pain: post injury.  Please see your doc to make sure all healed the way it was supposed to.  This MAY be an arthritic type pain from the injury or a circulatory issue.  Peace and good health.  Physical therapy or medication may be suggested.

See a Podiatrist: A bulge in this location could be a plantar fibroma (a thickening of the ligament on the bottom of the foot) or it could be from an injury.  Either way I recommend you have it examined by a podiatrist.

See physician: While the symptoms in your feet may reflect the need for orthotics, the fact that you have hand symptoms as well suggexts that you see your physician to be evaluated for an early stage of a generalized joint disease.

Pain with lump: Go to your md now Sudden onset of severe pain and lump could be a cllot in your leg  and needs immediately to be evaluated.

since yesterday i get occasional cramp under my ankle next to my heel.it is painful and my muscles are twitching when it happens. can this be from new tight shoes?

: It's easy to exclude the new shoes as the culprit by stopping wearing that shoe for a couple days then symptoms should resolve. If symptoms persist or even get worse then you should see an orthopedist or a podiatrist, Good luck.

Muscle Pain: If there was no trauma like hitting your leg against the wall etc.Then it is pain in muscles after over use.It is common in people who do not do exercises routinely including swimming&amp; your muscles are not used to it.With any kind of Physical Exercise you need to condition yourself.Starting small and gradually increasing the activity
I suggest you rest your leg and take Ibuprofen or Aleve (naproxen) for Pain
