Late period: The blood test is accurate 99% of the time. Your doctor will probably order additional hormone tests to help diagnose the cause of amenorrhea (missed menses). You probably had an "anovulatory cycle" in which you do not ovulate and will not have a menses. A pelvic sono can diagnose ovarian cysts which can also be a cause of the problem.

Probably not, but...: At the lab I use, we consider everything less than 6 a negative result but every lab has its own cut-off. Sometimes we will repeat borderline tests in a week just to be sure. Best wishes!

i had iui on day 13, after hcg injection on day 12, then started progesterone suppositarys 400mg, but now  i am two days late.  if i stop doing suppositarys, how long will it be before period starts, if not pregnant.  i was thinking i could be pregnant be

It varies: Make sure you have a sensitive pregnancy test done first!  if you aren't pregnant and stop your progesterone, it varies when bleeding may start. Could be 1-2 days, could be a week or so. Good luck!

Re do hpt: Please repeat the hpt at three weeks after the episode or sex in question, unless you get a period by then. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex.

This method is extremely safe & effective when used under the care of an experienced & trained md.  You can start the HCG and do the overeating phase at the end of your cycle but you should wait until your cycle is over to start the very low calorie diet.
