Probably OK: Using an old eyeglass cleaner is little different than an old cleaning solution for your house.  There is little to degenerate in these solutions.  You can get an excellent cleaning, however, with a microfiber cloth which can last for years and is safe for the coatings on the lenses.

Yes: Eyeglass cleaners are generally alcohol based , and don't deteriorate. Since you use them on glasses and not on yourself or in your eyes, it's fine to use it

Safe but unclear: Lens scratches, and discolorations will not harm your eyes so they are safe to use.  They might cause unwanted reflections and distortions so you probably will be uncomfortable with such lens damage.

Accepted Answer

Not correct: Eyeglasses and contacts lens prescriptions are not the same.  There is a power difference since the glasses are farther from the cornea surface compared to contact lens.  Thus you need a different prescription, plus contact lens requires a base curve and diameter in addition to the power.

can eyeglass cleaner with isopropyl alcohol cause eczema on the eyelids?

Unlikely.: See a dermatologist. It is unusual to get eczema on your eyelids, so it should be thoroughly investigated. A rash from topical products would not be eczema. Instead it would be a contact dermatitis.

i was diagnosed with astigmatism at age 19 with 1.00-1.25 vision but i didn't use my eyeglass often. why it turned to .75-1.00vision on last check-up?

See an ophtho MD: You will need an in depth eye exam by an ophthalmologist to answer that specific a question,  regardless of your physical well-being or disease state

when going to a eye specialist to have an eyeglasses made, is it possible to bring my own eyeglass frame to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Yes, in my practice we need to inspect them and then have the client release liability for the frame and any possible defects that we can not detect but if the frames are in adequate shape we will agree to place lenses in them for you.  Some dispensaries will not let you use your own frames.  They do not know the contdition of them and do not want the responsability if they break, and lost income.

Probably: There is not always a direct correspondence between eyeglass power and contact lenses but with a simply myopia that you have, you can feel safe ordering the same power in contacts.  Be sure to follow the rules of wearing contact lenses to avoid trouble.

Far sighted: It appears it is time to check with the optometrist your updated vision now after wearing glasses x 3 yrs.
This can be easily corrected with a new prescription.

Retina a: Retina a creams and bleaching creams as well as some laser treatments or ipl can work.  Dermabrasion can also help.  You need to see someone who specializes in facial aesthetics.  And be careful.
