That said, people should worry more about penis germs than hand germs.

The situation you describe is of course very low risk for stds.  The only situation that may be possible is transmission of the wart virus as a skin to skin contact.  But, at 37 you are much more likely to have been exposed to hpv long ago.

As always, risk is not zero, but quite low overall.
