i have itp and currently taking  promacta 25 mg/ day.  this cause my hair get thinner due to it  high liver enzymes .  can i take milk thistle with dandelion root tea to detox my liver once a week?

: Promacta may indeed cause irritation of the liver, all the way to severe liver toxicity.  It may also cause hair loss.  Folk remedies like milk thistle and dandelion root will only confuse the issue and MAY even make the liver disease worse.

Hair loss: Hair loss could be due to alot of issues, not just a virus.
Some of those could be stress, medications, dietary changes, hormonal changes.  If this is recent, go to your doctor and have them check out thyroid.

Oil won't help: Hair is just dead protein, and oil just coats the hair, making you think it's bigger. Only genetics and good nutrition will help. The less you do to your hair the better. Don't believe everything you see on tv or the internet.

ALOPECIA: Alopecia or hair loss may be multifaceted . You need full Exam &amp;lab work up especially Vit d/Thyroid studies /TESTOSTERONE/ b12 and folate. If they are normal start high dose Biotin zinc B12 and folic acid.. Rogaine (minoxidil) and Propecia may be helpful. If there is no improvement consult dermatology for biopsy to rule out auto-immune ALOPECIA AERATA..

Hair growth: Hair growth ( thickness and speed ) and hair density are completely independent of waxing.  There is nothing you can do to speed it up or slow it down - other than to mess with your hormones in a major way. ( Spironolactone and minoxidil included...) Your extra hair growth is not really "extra" it is just returning to what it was before. Take a picture and compare.

See primary: Make sure that thyroid is checked as that can affect hair and teeth .Also vitamen d stimulates hair follicles to grow so get that checked.Iron defiency can cause hair loss so get that checked.so go to primary and get a complete basic lab workup and physical.
