i'm 48 and post menopausal, but at times have a sharp 30 sec pain that feels like my hair is being pulled, what is this?

Need more info: Pain is not a classic symptom of menopause.  See your doctor to give more details regarding where the pain is located, how often it occurs, how severe it is, and what circumstances seem to cause it.  Your doctor will want to exam you.  Depending on the findings,  you may need to do lab tests or imaging.

Tasty tidbits: Probably due to a nervous habit or stress.As toddlers begin to explore the parts of their body they learn to twist and twirl their hair. The pulled hair eventually gets swallowed and if enough hair accumulates can cause intestinal blockage(bezoars).
