Possibly: I answered that question for a previous visitor to this site. Briefly green tea has antioxidants and caffeine in it. Antioxidents can speed liver metabolism and slow negative affects of adhd meds. Caffeine can stimulate the urinary tract speeding up excretion of the metabolites from the livers breakdown of the medication. You might need more medication to have the same effect, drinking green tea.

Not a good idea: Green tea inhibits platelet aggregation & adhesion; the combination with Plavix (clopidogrel) may increase the risk of bleeding. Ask your doc if a lower dose of Plavix (clopidogrel) might be sage with green tea. Or choose a tea without anticoagulant effects.

Perhaps, some.: Green tea has significant antioxidants and caffeine in it. Antioxidents speed metabolisim of medications (and toxins) so medication may be metabolized more rapidly. Caffeine stimulates urinary tract activity possibly speeding excretion of medication metabolites. Stimulant meds are metabolized in the liver and excreted by the kidneys. The choice is less caffeine or more medication.

hi i was diagnosed with dvt condition and is in warafrin lifelong. i came across a herbal green tea capsules that i would like to take to lose weight, will this effect my blood levels or interfere with my medication warafrin?

Yes, it would: Green tea would affect warfarin levels, better avoid / use with caution and keep monitoring INR. Unfortunately anticoagulants can interfere with many medications / supplements, good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medication

Doubt It: You need to check with the manufacturer of the particular urine dipstick which was used. They will have a list of things that can cause a false positive test. This one sounds pretty far-fetched though.
