Not directly: There is no documented causation, i.e. Uric acid crystals are not a known component of coronary artery plaques that cause obstruction. However, people with gout often have chronic low-level inflammation throughout the entire body, and this can activate various circulating cell types that stimulate coronary blockages. (same is true for lupus  and rheumatoid arthritis, for example.).

Yes: Uric acid levels are usually, not always, elevated with gout. Chronic gout can cause kidney damage and affect the heart. See these two sites for more info.

See her primary: Lots of different things could be causing this.  She needs to see her primary to have an evaluation.

Obesity?: There is no clear link in the various processes listed above, but morbid obesity put you at risk for all of these... If i saw a thin patient with all of those i'd say that central sleep apnea could account for three (sepsis, heart failure, and hypertension), but not gout.  With weight loss heart failure, hypertension, and gout can be easier controlled or eliminated.

Not normal: These symptoms are not normal, but none seems to be related to any of the diseases mentioned above. Depression stemming out of the presence of those can manifest itself with these symptoms. If you are planning to hurt yourself or others, talk to your doctor and see what help you can get. If you have plans to harm yourself or others, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest er.

Saturated fat: Saturated (and trans) fats increase bad LDL cholesterol the most. Dietary cholesterol has a minor effect on LDL cholesterol, and actually increases good HDL cholesterol. So the focus should be on cutting saturated fat from meat and dairy fats. Critical point is to replace fats not cut them. So eat more unsaturated vegetable fats rather than more carbs. This a feature of the mediterranean diet.

Could: The aortic ectasia is likely to get worse with age, more so if you have high blood pressure. It would be prudent to consult a cardiologist.

Not the way it works: Nutrients of any sort are only absorbed from the related surfaces in the small intestine. (In your belly) The swallow tube &amp; stomach are basically pipes that begin the process of altering food to make it ready for absorption. The blood fat content &amp; potential for clogging arteries are a complex interaction between your diet &amp; genetic tendencies.

Ensure blood supply: The question is a little vague but i will try to explain.  The small arteries to the heart (the coronary arteries) are what supply blood to the hearyt to keep it pumping.  The big artery from the heart supplies the systemic circulation.  If the small arteries get blocked, then you have a heart attack and may die.  Any surgical proceedure may put enough stress on the heart to have a heart attack.

could you live "well" with only one artery feeding your heart?

It depends: This really depends on the clinical circumstances. The heart has three main arteries that supply the heart blood. I have had patients who have blocked off two of the arteries and thus were living off one artery which formed collarterals, or "natural bypasses" to other areas of the heart. With medications and monitoring in my opinion it is possible to have a reasonable quality of life.
