Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol &amp; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic &amp; weight lifting exercises.

Low carb diet: I've found a low carb (no starch or sugar) ketogenic diet containing about 60+ grams is protein and below 40 grams of carbohydrate along with mild exercise the most effective for weight, fat and girth loss. Complex carbohydrates in the form of whole grains, should make up 1/4 of your plate servings. 1/2 your plate should be fresh fruits and or vegetables. And 1/4 of your plate should be protein. Beans and legumes are also healthy carbohydrates. Avoid too much fat, fried foods.

Don't overeat and make healthy choices.
