Not indicated: Metformin is a drug used to manage hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus. There are some unlabelled uses of metformin, such as prevention of type 2 dm and management of polycystic ovary syndrome. Although it can help you lose weight, the amount lost is usually modest. Diabetics usually take it with a meal to decrease GI upset. I don't know of any contraindication to use with orlistat.

Pills for wt loss: You should use no pill unless someone--a physician--is supervising its use. Drugs like Phentermine have significant side effects and can cause many serious problems, some like pulmonary hypertension which are fatal. A history of heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, glaucoma, psychological disorder, or a history of drug or alcohol issues makes Phentermine a bad idea.

Doctor: Unfortunately i suggest think you probably talk to the doctor that prescribed the metformin in the first place. If  you have not seen the doctor recently consider seeing somebody so that they can check and review all lab work.

also, prescribes with metformin but it makes me dizzy. stopped taking it. can you suggest other option?

It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help.
