Take OTC for gas: Absorption, and watch diet. Simethicone liquid or chewables can help reduce the gas by just adhering to the bubbles formed. Whatever food gave you gas, may be the culprit, and what you need to avoid eating net time. Ranitidine is not for gas, only for stomach acid, and whatever caused your diet to start producing gas, is why you must identify the foods you ate prior to this meal.

Try drinking: 80-100 ounces of caffeine free/alcohol free fluid daily. Often eating a high fiber diet without taking enough of the right kinds of fluid will cause all of your symptoms. No medicine is as good as eating and drinking properly.

Food sensitivity: Gas x..Over the counter simethicone may help, but need to get to bottom of what is causing the issue. You may have lactose intolerance, or sensitivity to wheat. Try eliminating dairy for a few weeks. Also try eliminating wheat..See if it helps. You may need to see your doctor if it continues to be a problem.
