OK: Have your Dr. be aware of your LLQ discomfort, which sound like it may be more intestinal anyway, than anything to do with your scrotum, especially since you had an US of that area.  have the exam concentrate more on the LLQ Abdominal area. Possible Constipation, Diverticulosis, IBS, etc, etc,-Need exam to start the diagnostic process. Good luck.

Since they know your complete history and the intricacies of the surgical course, they are the most properly equipped to give you an idea of post-surgical recovery time. Make sure you write down your questions as frequently people forget to ask them when in the office setting.

Dr to examine testis: Testicle pain means a trip to the doctor right away because the testicle's blood supply can be twisted off (called torsion). When that happens, the testicle can die. Other causes of testicle pain include trauma, infection, twisting of an appendix of a testicle (a small lump next to a testicle), etc... Since a guy usually cannot tell if his testicle is twisting, an exam by the doctor is needed.

Avoid very hot: Water and limit use of soap or detergents. Take showers rather than baths. Use a cheap generic moisturizing body lotion if necessary.

No: Scrotal edema should be diagnosed based on the cause.  It can be remedied, but not by drainage.  The body needs to reabsorb this fluid.  Is there swelling elsewhere in the body?  Are you walking?  Do you have an heart conditions?

Itching: skin itches for many reasons including bacterial contamination , moisture, fungal infections, tight clothing, sweat,  contact dermatitis, etc.  Most genital areas itch when they get moist or hot.  It is normal to have itchy skin in this area.

Here are some ...: The Q is unclear, but I assumed you meant you've a "long" scrotum. If so, see urologist for shortening it if clinically necessary - such as too long so to sit on it. Such procedure (major scrotoplasty) can be done.
