my forehead muscle is twitching on the left side above my eyebrow. for the past 3 days why is it doing this?

Irritated nerve: something has irritated the superficial nerve in the area.  That can cause the nerve to fire erratically into the muscle causing it to twitch.  Stress can be a cause.

i know have muscle twitching in my right calf muscle 24/7. i can see it twitching, coincides with the twitching on the sides of my head  mri,emg norm?

Twitching in leg: correlates with twitching in scalp. Could this be a blood vessel pulsating? If it is, and periodically irregular, you may have heart rhythm issues. Has your doctor actually seen the twitching?  I'm curious what part of the body was studied with MRI if the EMG was negative ?  How did the echocardiogram turn out? Have you had a cardiac holter monitor ?

Not certain: You need a full evaluation, a neurology consultation and maybe a spinal tap. This may be paresthesias and benign fasiculations.

i am taking augmentin for a uti. it is giving me fits (literally!)--constant muscle twitching, trembling, chills, and exacerbating a head tremor of mine. it feels like a prelude to a seizure. i'm scared. should i change to another antibiotic?

Not augmentin: Neither augmentin nor any other antibiotic is likely to cause such symptoms. Discuss with the doctor who prescribed it.

Neck pain: The crackling and popping in the neck are the facet joints in the cervical spine that are akin to cracking your knuckles. That is not a concern. What is a concern is the neck and shoulder pain associated with twitching or cramping in the legs. This may be a sign of pressure on the spinal cord from a disc. An MRI of the cervical spine and an evaluation with a neurosurgeon would be a good decision.

Yes : The kidneys are one of the main regulators of your electrolytes, such as potassium for example.  So problems in the kidneys can cause electrolyte abnormalities which can affect muscle function and tone.  Don't hesitate to be seen if you are having problems.

No short answer: Medically it is called fasciculation.  It is a quivering of a tired muscle.  Most people have them at times, some frequently.  Sometimes it seems to center on an area where there had been an injury.  Ofter it may involve the corner of an eye or the neck but may be any place in the body.
