Need evaluation: it is above the eye and needs evaluation. If eye worry about glaucoma, if  scalp  could be  brain,  muscle, vessel, etc

Probably: YOUR assessment is correct.   I would call that an ostepma, and that would need surgery to remove.

Head injury: Monitor for signs of concussion: Sleepiness, confusion, abnormal speech, unsteady walking. If they start vomiting then seek emergent help.

Ice: Upon injury icing will help reduce bruising and inflammation. Once a bruise has formed them warm compresses may help your body gradually clear it up. Forehead bruises can also lead to the common "black eye" or "shiner".

No: There's still some iron in the scar underneath the skin. It will probably disappear after a few more years. I treat combat sports participants, and these old marks may be a source of pride. I am glad Junior recovered. Get him checked once as a teen for hemochromatosis. Best wishes.

Quite a hit!: I am curious as to how you hit your forehead hard enough to create this bruise and dent. Were you dizzy? Did you pass out before or after this happened?
