Healing is slow: It is unusual that unless significant trauma you would break the 2dn metatarsal. How is your vitamin D3 level? I think it hurst more at night since you have been on your feet during the day.

: The difference in color could be due to a difference in arterial or veinous  or  both in circulation. See your family doctor or podiatrist for an evaluation.

Blood Clot : It's possible you might have a blood clot in the leg, i would get to the nearest er asap and have them do a vascular exam.

Foot  swelling: This is not unusual. Your leg needs to acclimate to the new stresses on it. This should go away with time. Try to intermittently elevated the leg to get rid of the redness. If the redness does not go away check with your doctor to make sure you do not have an infection.
