Hormone action: Your symptoms sound as if they are due to high levels of progesterone, a normal occurtence at that part of your cycle. If rx is needed, it is only for relief of the annoying symptoms during that time.

Take another: Take another pregnancy test - if that is negative then you should see your GYN for anovulation (lack of ovulation) work-up.  The bloating, food cravings and heartburn may be a separate issue.

Check pregnancy test: You can still have some menstrual bleeding when you are pregnant so please check a home pregnancy test. Of you are not pregnant , don't fret abhor one abnormal period . There are a lot of factors that can make one month abnormal. However if it is a continued trend, please see your doctor

Way too early: Unless you want to conceive - use protection whenever you have sex. If you miss your next period, wait a week and do a test. Your signs can be from anything or nothing and may be unrelated to each other. Try to learn factual info about reproduction - it's good to know. Best!

No: If a woman has a menstrual period, she is not pregnant. The process of the flow removes the contents of the uterus. That's what it is. If a fertilized egg has implanted itself those contents are needed to support it - they do not flow out. Any egg that is not implanted is carried out along with the flow. The symptoms are not from being pregnant. Do a test if you're not convinced. Best!

Needs planning: Diet plays a crucial role in the management of PMS. The best way to curb PMS cravings is to raise levels of serotonin in the brain. This can be done by eating carbohydrate-rich foods in combinations with a protein source like beans, lentils, chickpeas or lean protein like chicken or turkey. Try planning your meals. Try getting rid of your periods altogether with OCP. Exercise.

When was HPT done?: I would wait until you have missed a period to do a home pregnancy test. If negative and still no period - can repeat HPT in a week. Take care.
