i have a tingling feeling on my back right shoulder blade. feels very weird and comes and goes. what could this be?

Mononeuropathy: It sounds like a small nerve is acting up.  Sometimes this can happen due to injury (which i assume you didn't have) and sometimes due to medical conditions.  If you don't have any other health problems, and you otherwise feel well, it is reasonable to watch and wait.  If it persists over time, or becomes worse, you should see your doctor for a basic checkup.

i have been having a sharp sometimes burning feeling in my right shoulder blade. sometimes this pain moves to my shoulder.  ?

Cervical radiculitis: Cervical radiculitis due to compression of nerves in the cervical spine can commonly cause pain in between the shoulder blade as well as the shoulder. Referred pain or a primary shoulder etiology is also considered. Disease of the gallbladder (usually cholecystitis) can also cause pain in the right shoulder blade, but less likely in the shoulder itself. Consultation with a physician is advised.

Accepted Answer

Muscular pain: Doesnt really sound like heart or lung pain. It sounds more like a musculoskeletal type of pain since it hurts, changes when you move. Try some OTC anit inflammatories such as alleve or motrin and see if they  pain resolves.

i was doing pullups and the next day i started to feel a tightness and uncomfortable feeling in my right shoulder blade. what is the cause of this.

Strain/non dominant?: If it is ur non dominant hand, it may b weaker & was strained while ur dominant is stronger an could handle it if it's ur dominant u may have used it harder 2 do the pull ups, aiding your weaker side. Also depends on ur grip being equal on the bar. Does not sound more then usual stiffness after a workout. Something torn etc. Would cause immediate pain. Ice, tub soak nsaids rest i. ?Massage.

i have a burning/stabbing pain in right shoulder blade that has been coming on more at night. also i have a patch of skin there which has no feeling?

Spine Pain Options: This pain in the distribution as you suggested is the result of an irritated nerve or facet joints or other injury typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease,  etc requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist and may be candidate for facet injections/radiofrequency ablation and epidural steroid injection.

Varies: There are a number of possibilities and I would not hesitate to be seen for it.  There is a condition in which a bone outgrowth from either the scapula or rib can cause what you are describing, but there are other causes as well.  An exam and appropriate studies can determine the cause.

It's normal : Sound from  stretching your muscles and ligaments. The chest burning could be from acid reflux. I'd still recommend u see your dr to be sure your heart is ok. Take care!

Multiple causes: Upper back & right sides chest may be the result of a thoracic disc herniation, thoracic facet syndrome, T4 syndrome, costoveterbral syndrome, muscle strain, ect. It may also represent referred pain from internal organs such as the heart & lungs, which are more serious. With your breathing difficulties you should contact  your  pcp for an immediate evaluation. If not available go to nearest er!

This is very likely: a temporary nerve compression or dysfunction. The tingling nature of your symptom suggests nerve involvement. Something might be pressing on a nerve near your shoulder blade (could it more likely happen when you are lying on your back/shoulder blade?)  The reassuring thing is it sounds transient and resolves quickly. Unless it worsens in frequency or intensity, or spreads in location, OK to watch.

i have a ull pain below right shoulder blade. what should i do?

Need to see your PCP: To start evaluating you and then onward referral to an orthopod.
Meanwhile take some aleve (naproxen) or Ibuprofen (if no allergies/side effects), and apply ice/heat packs.
