Hard to say: By waiting to Wednesday to be seen/start Tamiflu it likely was of minimal benefit. If started within 48 hrs it works best. If there were another infection (unspecified) the process may also be flu/viral related &amp; abx of little benefit. You don't list how much fever, which matters. I would be worried if over 102 but not so much with 101 or less. Contact your doc if fever high.

Influenza: The low grade fever you are experiencing is quite normal. The antibiotics are not effective on a virus. Continue with the meds and you'll feel better in no time.

Possibly: Influenza A is typically sick in bed with high fevers and prominent respiratory symptoms for 7 days. Influenza B can be a little less so, but still congestion, cough, sinusitis, sore throat. Minimal to no GI symptoms. Vaccination can give protection so that you are not as ill.

Flu: If you have the Flu hydrate well w water, herbal teas, soup or juice. Drink sufficiently to have pale to light yellow urine. You can use pain relievers like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or NSAID’s. Rest A LOT! In some situations antiviral medications (Tamiflu, Relenza, Flumadine) may be prescribed within the first couple of days of symptoms to hasten healing or they can be used after flu exposure to prevent illness.

Allergies: If symptoms are persisting and you are developing "Flu" like symptoms maybe this is more than allergies. Sounds like an evaluation would be helpful.

You must be very: Gentle with your GI tract. Start with clear liquid like water, soda that is clear, or sports hydration drinks.  Sip often to prevent dehydration.Work up to solids with bland foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, gelatin, or chicken. Avoid alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, dairy & high fat foods. Rest.  Some stomach virus infections have a longer duration than others.
