Uncertain: These type of sweats suggest that you may have an underlying infection of some sort. This is the first thing I would recommend your physician check for. There are occasional metabolic syndrome to consider as they can also cause sweating. I would start with your physician and if necessary have you see a specialist infectious diseases.

May not be flu: Many illness can have symptoms like having the flu. The real flu typically lasts for 2-3 weeks (though you may feel run down longer).  If your symptoms are lasting longer you may want to see a doctor to get a diagnosis.

Neither am I: While Covid and the Flu have many symptoms in common, they also have entirely different presentations. Call yourGeneral Physician and ask if you should be tested. If so, go get tested. Anything else would just be a guess.

COVID 19 concerns: COVID 19 sx’s: dry cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, nasal congestion,  sneezing, fever, headache, sore throat, feeling tired, loss of sense of taste/smell, decreased appetite, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, chills &amp; muscle aches.  In ZA consult with a medical provider who will determine need for COVID 19 testing.  Consult your local primary care provider or you can use telemedicine.

fibromyalgia: You could be suffering from fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome. Your best bet is to see a doctor who specializes in this; perhaps a rheumatologist or pain management specialist.

Case contact/test: I would advise that you stay home, rest, drink fluids and monitor your temperature. There is a possibility that you have COVID 19 infection. Use Tylenol for fever control and please check with your physician and employer regarding testing. Watch for signs of respiratory difficulty, breathing problems, fever and loss of taste and smell.

Check  locally: You could probably call your primary care Dr office &amp; ask, or ask the facility where your wife was tested how to go about getting a test for yourself. You should otherwise stay home/self isolate in the meantime

COVID 19 testing: You can use an on-line app to determine your risk for COVID 19. In South Africa- one consults with a medical provider who will determine need for COVID 19 testing.  Consult your local primary care provider or you can use telemedicine for individual consultations.  This is an at-risk scenario. Do you have symptoms?

i've had flu like symptoms for 2 weeks, i've been taking anti-biotic for 3 days now and still don't feel any better i've been taking anti-biotic for 3 days now and still don't feel any better, i've been going to work during the week and feel horrible.

The : The flu is caused by viruses, as such antibiotics will not be effective in treating the infection. It is not typical for the flu to last in excess of 2 weeks so, if you have not seen your physician, i recommend that you do so soon to determine the nature of your illness.
