Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin.  Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Needs to be seen: Skin rashes are notoriously difficult to diagnose without being seen. You should see your primary care doc or a dermatologist, preferably when you are having the rash. That is the best way to figure out what this might be.

Rashes are hard: There are many things that can trigger rashes in infants but I fine formula allergies are rarely the issue. It does take 4 days to clear the previous formula &amp; if it were formula it might take another week to clear. These can also be the shampoo or soaps you use among other things. Most will clear eventually.
