my belly button ring is red around the top ball but it's not sore or no puss coming out. is this bad and what should i do.?

PIERCING PROBLEM: You may be developing an infection.  You may try a topical (cream) anti microbial like Neosporin.  The key, however, is close monitoring for worsening symptoms... which would prompt evaluation by your doctor.

can you sleep on your stomach after a belly button piercing? i always sleep on my stomach, will it make it sore or irritate it?

Clean, soft cover: Try a sterile soft non-irritating bandage for the hours of sleep until it is healed. Best!

Infection: You should seek urgent care if you are having a lot of pain or getting a high fever. Could clean the site with antiseptic and use antibiotic ointment and hot packs until seen by a doctor.

Six months: should be sufficient to heal the "hole" made with the ring! If it bled it is probably due to some trauma when you removed it! BTW the belly button by its very nature is NOT the "cleanest" place on your body so if you wish to keep a ring there KEEP THE AREA CLEA with frequent ALCOHOL WIPES!!!

Very : Very frequent to get minor infections an inflammation in navel piercings.  Apply topical antibiotic (polysporin, bacitracin) with bandaid covering.  If redness or tenderness begin to expand outward, you may need oral antibiotics.  If does not clear up with above, may need to remove earring completely.

for the past few days i have been experiencing a burning in my belly button and it's starting to swell a bit. it hurts mostly when i bend down on get up when i touch it it's sore right on top of my belly button and i get a sharp pain?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may have infection in the depth of the belly button. Clean it out with a Q tip and apply antibiotic ointment like Neosporin. If that does not help in a week or so it would be prudent to see your doctor.

Yes: I will tell you though the skin over the ring will get very, very thin as your belly stretches. The ring may pull through on its own.  Most women take it out as they hit the third trimester for that reason.

Remove it: Or apply a lubricant to it so it doesn't catch.

No.: Having your belly button pierced will have no effect on your celiac disease.
