Check your premises: This is not usual, but perhaps you are fortunate.  Most likely you do not have herpes, but possibly something else.  See a doctor.

Probably fine: Acyclovir is technically pregnancy category c, meaning formal studies on the affect on human pregnancies have not been done. There is some data in the literature that shows no risk. But it is still not widely recommended. That being said, if the risk outweighs the benefits then one should be treated. Please discuss this with your OB doc.

Can't : Can't tell you if it is herpes, but i can tell you that it might be a mucocele, which is a mucous cyst. She may have bitten her lip accidently and crushed a small duct.

Probably not herpes: Your symptoms could be new oral herpes, but not typical; usually sores would occur by now. Definitely do not take valacyclovir, at least not yet: if you do have an atypical case, treatment will just make it harder to diagnose and you may never know. See a doctor if your symptoms continue, especially if blieters/sores appear. Otherwise sit tight for a while. Good luck.

Can be tested: Both are same genotype , or not , most common source , male infect female in genital herpes  , test is not done routinely , will be expensive , no medical indication so insurance will not cover.
