Hypocoagulation: When women are on their menstrual period their blood does not clot the same way it does outside their menses, i.e., it takes longer to clot. Some surgeons avoid doing surgery during women's menses to minimize the risk of bleeding.

Not likely: If you have bilateral tubal ligation, follow by cauterization of the Fallopian tubes after clips placements, it is less likely to fertilize alone will be able to pass through the Fallopian tubes, and resulting in successful pregnancy with implantation of fertilized ovum. However, depending on initial surgery, reversal may be possible if you desire for pregnancy, but would be difficult.
