See below: The possible reasons: decreased immune response, long term use of antibiotics or steroids and as a result of it - decrease/lack of normal vaginal flora.

Maybe not yeast: By &quot;thrush&quot;, presumably you mean vaginal yeast infection, right? However, yeast usually causes mostly itching and little discharge, or only a small amount of white discharge. Colored discharge suggests other infections, including STDs if you are at risk (new partner, partner with other partners, etc). Follow up with your doctor for diagnosis and professional treatment. Thrush: You very probably have thrush.  Call your doctor for an examination and checkup for thrush and a check up on your diabetes.

Vaginal thrush: Vaginal thrush is also known as a vaginal yeast infection that is treated the same way by a GYN MD when you see him/her. The over the counter medications are often attenuated (weakened) and don't work as well as a Rx.

Why do you have thru: The question is why you have thrush. There can be a lot of reasons. You may have thrush all the way down your esophagus. You need to discuss with your physician about seeing a gastroenterologist to check that out
