Burning up, no fever: I would suggest checking your thermometer for accuracy, perhaps measuring your temperature rectally.  Sometimes oral and aural thermometers are not accurate.

Be seen, not the ER: coughing for a month means you should be seen but this is not an emergency situation.  Be seen by your doctor or an urgent car center as soon as you can. In the mean time: rest, drink plenty of fluids, try aspirin, or ibuprofen. Try common table honey for the cough. Check on goggle, it has been shown to help.

played basketball, went home. after few hours tried going to sleep, can't because my cheeks burning up, no fever, what's wrong?

Hard to say: Hard to say, especially if not febrile.  I would be seen just to make sure things like your heart and blood pressure are ok.  There have been instances over the years where apparently healthy athletes can have heart defects that can present during exercise.  I know it would be unusual, but I would be seen as it is not a common complaint after playing basketball.

six year old gets almost daily headaches. no known triggers or patterns, no vomiting. complains of burning up inside but no fever. what could it be?

Needs medical check: Persistent headaches are of great concern to me. You should have a medical evaluation of your child done ASAP. Start with a visit to a pediatrician. He may need  to get a Brain MRI scan done especially if his eye examination shows any signs of high pressure inside his head. Good luck

Wait to worry!: Any lesions/redness that resolves itself in a matter of couple hours can not be anything serious. It does not imply any diagnosis that you can worry about. Although I can not pin point the cause, it is likely positional(You can not tell how many times at night you turn to the side without knowing about it).
So do not worry as it can not cause you any harm as it stands now. Time will resolve this .

Infection? OAB?: The wording of your question suggests you know that urinary tract infection (UTI) usually causes burning when urinating. But not always, and feelings like yours could be due to a UTI. Or maybe you're developing overactive bladder (OAB), especially if you're having urinary urgency or leakage when you feel the urge to void. You should see a doctor, who probably will start by recommending urinalysis.
