Fullness : Fullness in the throat is often referred to as a "globus" sensation.  This might be due to post-nasal dripping, chronic tonsillitis, base of tongue tonsillitis, reflux laryngitis, or outpouching in the lining of the pharynx or esophagus called zencker's diverticulum.  As evident, there is a wide range of possibilities that can result in your symptoms.  Only a careful physical exam by a specialist, with possible needed tests, could fully lead to a correct diagnosis.

Gastroenterologist: I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist for evaluation and advice. Appropriate testing will be done. It appears that you may have an esophageal motility disorder, hiatal hernia and/ or swallowing disorder affecting transfer of food from throat to esophagus.

You would have marked difficulty in swallowing if food was stuck in your throat.

This feeling is due to Anxiety.

3 days- very sore throat. no other "sick" like symptoms. not getting better. now feels like there is food stuck in my throat, like a golf ball.  why?

Doctor can check: A very sore throat can be evaluated by a primary care doctor or an ear-nose-throat doctor to see what the cause might be.  Sometimes it is a strep throat bacterial infection. Other possibilities include a tonsillar abscess, a viral infection, a throat ulcer, etc...  The doctor has to look at the throat to figure out what is going on.

it feels like food is maybe stuck in my nose and throat for 5 week.  i also noticed just now, that one tonsil appears to be almost touching the uvula.   i don't feel any pain and don't have any sore throat.  i am a life-long heavy drinker and smoker?

Acid reflux: That type of feeling is common with gerd. Speak with your doctor about trying a medication for gerd or you can give Prilosec otc a try.

They are: Probably tonsil at crypts that are normal that catch debris then harden and you can feel them. An ENT or a dentist may be able to help you remove the debris but it will just happen again.

Dysphagia: There could be many reasons for difficulty swallowing food, or dysphagia, and it usually requires an evaluation to determine the cause and to map out a treatment plan. I would make an appointment to see your doctor. In the meantime, I would consider a short course of omeprazole 20 mg once a day. Do not skip the evaluation, even if the interim medication helps. Good luck.
