Abnormal: Nope. Seeing you chest beating in your chest would suggest enlarged heart, in physical exam this could be found with a displaced apical impulse. IN general seeing it would be unlikely thus abnormal

Not unusual: Seeing or feeling one's heartbeat is not unusual, especially in thin individuals. The location of this is known as the pmi, or point of maximum impulse. If no other symptoms, not to worry.

Hard to say: You may just be thin and wear tight clothes but i suspect you have an arrhythmia. A 24 hour to 30 day event recorder (length depends on how often you get your symptoms) could make the diagnosis.

It is not unusual to: be able to see or feel your heart beating. This does not mean you have cardiac enlargement. Certainly with your family history and your concerns it would be reasonable to be evaluated by a health care professional to reassure you. Make an appointment soon.

PMI: Yes - what you're seeing is the PMI or Point of Maximum Impulse - the place where in very thin people you can see the heart beat. This is 'normal' and nothing to worry about. Symptoms I WOULD worry about include 'fluttering' of the heart, getting dizzy, passing out etc. Over time if you gain weight - you may not see this any more, although likely you can still feel it with your hand.

: It is not always abnormal to see the pulsation of the blood vessels in the neck and they reflect the pulsation of the heart. It is important to draw your pediatrician attention however to make sure to pay attention with examination of your child.

Not unusual: As long as your blood pressure &amp; eye pressure is acceptable, your slight visual pulse that corresponds to your hear rate is usually a normal observed response to variations in blood pressure. A few concerns come up at times as in increased cerebrospinal fluid pressure where visual spots are seen, embolic conditions when stuttering lights are seen, optic nerve head drusen &amp; neuritis where gray out

Yes see your doc: Not sure what the source of your symptoms are, but definitely warrants a trip to your primary care doc for evaluation. Your doc will want to know the specifics so sometimes keeping a diary of symptoms to give for them to review will help them tease out what is going on.  Good luck!

Palpatations: You probably have a thin chest wall so that your heart beat seems exaggerated. Also see your cardiologist to make sure you dont have an arrhytmia.
