Burn orange: Orange color in the stool is unusual, but could happen from some items in your diet, or with other unusual infections. Please talk with your doctor and to a stool analysis and or culture to find out.

i don't smoke, never have in my whole life. past two days my stool had an extremely strong smell of smoke, or burnt wood, or something like that. why?

No change in color ?: smell of stool is not important as long as it hasn't changed color (no black or red stools?) which might be a sign of intestinal bleeding.

change in smell is probably dietary.

all of the sudden for the past month, ive had loose stool and it has a funny smell. sort of like burnt rubber but not quite. my gas smells the same. no matter what i eat it always smells the same. what could be the cause of this?

: The gas smell may be because of the nature of the gas produced by the type of bacteria you have in your bowel. They probably act on components of the food you eat mainly the sugars to ferment and produce gas that smell also in your stool. You could attempt to change it by using probiotic, eating fermented food. If you do not have pain with the loose stool and not too frequent probably not worry.

Change in bowels: Change in bowels is a red-flag to doctors that evaluation is needed.  Frequency of stooling, duration of change,  presence of blood, accompanying symptoms (e.g. queasiness, nausea/vomiting, change in appetite, etc.), recent travel/exposures, new medications are some of the questions your physician will ask to determine cause and appropriate evaluation.

If the stool is: mushy cut back in the Miralax (polyethylene glycol).  The color may be from something you are eating but you should have your physician check your stop for blood just to be sure.

Loose stool: Stool odor is nondiagnostic. Loose stools for a month could be due to bacterial or parasitic infection, irritable bowel syndrome or food intolerance like gluten. While waiting to see a physician or gastroenterologist, try pinpointing any food causes. Testing will be ordered after the office visit.

Gastroenterologist: It appears that pregnancy is not the issue. You may have irritable bowel syndrome which may include nausea. Check to see if you can identify certain foods that could be triggering your symptoms.  Ginger relieves nausea. If your symptoms persist, a gastroenterologist is best to evaluate and advise you.

Could be mucus: mucus in the stool could be due to inflammation in your bowels. Not enough info to determine the cause so I would recommend you discuss this further with your GI doctor especially if you have pain or change in bowel habits.

Bacteria: You could become ill as feces contains germs. In some countries "night soil" is still used which can be a cause of spreading disease.

It depends: This can be diet related but can also be a warning sign for liver or biliary disease.  You should see your doctor.  Mucous is a whitish substance often found in stool but it will be accompanied by normal color stool.
