About that...: That is the curse of having health anxiety. Normal bodily sensations and abnormal bodily sensations all are perceived as signs of illness... making it very difficult for either the patient or the doctor to tell when the patient is actually sick (other than suffering the sickness of health anxiety). The patient must teach himself which of his pains, his cramps, his sniffles, etc., are normal.

Difficult question: There are multiple things that may cause you to smell things that aren't really there.  These would be called olfactory hallucinations.  You don't list any medications for your anxiety or any other condition -- so it's hard to know about any possible side effect contributions.  Some seizure types can cause these -- "uncinate fits" preceding temporal lobe seizures, for instance.  See your doctor!

Probably: Both anxiety and gastritis can cause gas. Anxiety attacks can lead to accidental swallowing of air from hyperventilation. That air has no where to go but down and can becomes flatulence. Gastritis can cause gas if the cause of the gastritis produces gas. Certain bacteria produce gas as an effect of their normal metabolism. If they are the source of the gastritis then they too can cause flatulence.

Uncontrollable thoughts may be a symptoms of a serious psychiatric disorder. These disorders are treatable but you really need to be seen as soon as possible. Swallowing air: In addition to having gas it may also cause distant ion of your which will make your belly feel bloated, but that will also pass as gas comes up and you belch.
