Lupus: Sorry but your question is confusing. I assume u r asking about factor 5 leiden deficiency. Factor v leiden (fak-tur five lide-n) is a mutation of one of the clotting factors in the blood called factor v. This mutation can increase your chance of developing abnormal blood clots (thrombophilia), usually in your veins.

Tendency to clot: Factor v leiden is a hereditary abnormality of a clotting protein that increases your risk of forming clots, notably in the veins (phlebitis). If you are undergoing a procedure that would also increase this risk (surgery, prolonged immobilization), Lovenox (enoxaparin) might be used preventively. It is only for short-term use, and oral drugs such as warfarin would be used if you need long-term protection.

Unique, certainly: These are both fairly commonly inherited disorders.  Factor v leiden occurs in about 1/100 people.  Von willebrand is also about 1/100 or so. So it is conceivable that this could occur in the same person.  There are probably a few like you around.

Not advised: People who inherit the leiden variant of coagulation factor v are at incresed risk of venous thrombosis. Those who are heterozygotes their risk is 5-10 fold higher, homozygotes are about 50 fold greater risk.  Women on birth contol pills are partiuclarly susceptible to thrombosis if they have leiden factor v.  If the affected individual develops thromobsis, life long anti-coagulation may be needed.

Listen to your body: Avoid tobacco smoke, a source of cadmium.  Sugar, salt, fat, stress and prolonged immobility increase risk of clots. Nattokinase breaks down fibrin. It  comes from natto, fermented soy beans.  It could be used to prevent clots.  A healthy  vegetarian diet  has plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit  and  slow carbs like quinoa and soaked and sprouted beans.  Add  taurine, b-12, zinc and vit a ;d.

Yes: Generally yes.  With your history of pe (unless there was a specific cause for this like a broken bone) and being positive for the factor v leiden mutation, you probably would be placed on lifelong anti-coagulation (e.g. Warfarin). However, it depends on your history, other medical risk factors, etc.

Yes: This is a genetic condition which leaves you with a potential bleeding problem.  No cure but there are some pretty royal families with this problem.

: Factor five Leiden deficiency does cause easy bruising. There are many other reasons for easy bruising which should also be invesitgated.
