Yes, & maybe: Some people are born with different sized pupils & it doesn't mean anything. If she's only recently developed them, it could be a sign of neurological problems, though. I recommend looking at old pictures- if they were different when she was little, like they are now, there's nothing to worry about.

6 month old son's left pupil is sometimes a bit larger. other times eyes appear same size. when irises contract or release, the difference persists.

Ophtho visit: I would suggest seeing an Ophthalmologist (Eye doctor) asap. This can be something benign but also can be something more serious that needs to be looked at. The term is anisocoria. It can be just monitored or your son might need an MRI of the brain/orbits/neck to be sure nothing else in the brain is causing his pupils to look that way.

my eyes are getting further apart, specifically my pupils. it looks like i'm looking at different sides at the same time but it has no effect on my vision. 2 weeks ago my pupillooked normal but now they are further apart and its looks weird. any fix?

How unequal: Vestibular lesion would not alter your pupil size. If an ophthalmologist examined you and determined it to be not a cause for concern, please let it be.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Cranial Nerves: Cranial N II (Optic) subtends vision, III (oculomotor) subtends levator, superior rectus (sup. branch), medial rectus, inferior rectus, inf. oblique &amp; pupillary constriction (inf. branch); IV (trochlear) subtends superior oblique; VI (abducens) subtends lateral rectus; and sympathetics along the arterial pathway subtend pupillary dilation. CN's on the left and right. Nuclei in the brainstem.

Yes: Eye doctors often use eye drops( atropine) to dilate the pupil so he/she can see the back the eye better during examination, but the pupil return to it normal size after the effect of the medication is gone.

how do the pupils of your eye change size? what causes this?

Light reflex: When your eye is exposed to light, the dilated pupils receive a signal from the retina, through your brain which tells them to close down to limit the light entry and protect the eye.  The pupils (iris) is a muscular structure in a radial pattern which responds to light signals this way. ;pretty cool!
