how bad can an eyelash scratch your eye?

Minimal: Usually not bad.  It can be very annoying and uncomfortable and should be removed.  Usually symptoms resolve withing 24 hours.

If no help irrigatin: g your eyes under the faucet, it&#x27;s time to go to your eye doctor, and have your lid exerted to remove the lash or foreign object. For now until you get there, you can use OTC Artificial tear lubricating gel to reduce the irritation. Don&#x27;t delay! Or your cornea or conjunctiva will feel irritated. Good luck!

i got eyelash extensions and i think the tape used under my eye scratched it. i felt a bit of stinging. now the blood vessels in my eye are red?

Eye care: You MUST see an Eye doctor as soon as you can.

It is annoying, but I have been wearing glasses since I was 6 and am now 72. You will likely have an opportunity to either have contact lenses or spectacles.

: It depends on the cause of the corneal irritation. Your surgeon will advise you of whether it is ok to proceed or whether the cornea issues need to be resolved first

my 8mo fell and hit her head today. since she has been very sleepy and now scratching her ear and eye excessively on the side she got hurt most. went to the er after the fall and was told nothing to worry about but i still feel uneasy. no vomiting?

See her doctor: Please see her doctor today. Although she was cleared by the ER, if she is still not herself, I would recommend another examination by her doctor or back at the ER. They may say she is fine, but it is best to be sure that there is no internal head injury.

i recently did a head mri and everything is normal except for two little things: aspect "empty sella" and hypersensitive lesions on the white substance around the bilateral frontal cornea. i am 25 years old and a female. what does this mean?

Findings: These are very specific  findings of an MRI. That could mean several things, but it is impossible for a doctor to know what that means without knowing the patient history, physical findings, signs and symptoms to correlate with these findings

: There are several artificial tear products on the market that should help reduce the irritation. Systane and Refresh are two pricier ones that are quite helpful compared to dollar store options.

Remove it: You can often remove this with a tweezer at its base using a magnifying mirror.If it is stuck on the eye surface, a wet q-tip can be used to tease it off.

Accepted Answer

Yes: This occurs occasionally. You can often find it by pulling the upper or lower lid directly out and examining it closely.If you touch it with the cotton end of a wet q-tip you can usually drag it out and pull it away from the eyeball.
