Could be: Traumatic sex with mucosal tear. If bleeding continues a pelvic examination will be indicated.

Take a test...: If you have had sex and your period is late, you need to take a pregnancy test.  That is the first thing that needs to be ruled out for mestrual irregularities.  Denying this fact due to fear isn't going to change the outcome - the sooner you know the sooner you can take see your OB/Gyn.  Take care of you!

No difference: A one day difference in the day of the menstrual cycle is not clinically meaningful. It is just the slight variation from one cycle to the next. This is not a cause for concern. Continue exercising and being healthy and know that it is normal to have some variation from month to month

Abnormal: Unless you are exercising only once a month and at the same time every month, this is abnormal.  You need to be seen by your family doctor or GYN for evaluation.

Pregnancy?: It sounds like you are worried about pregnancy and usually when someone wants their period immediately they are trying to ask about abortion. First, you must determine if you really could be pregnant. If you are not, then you will need a doctor to help figure out if you have another problem (secondary amenorrhea). That same doctor could answer the question about pregnancy and what to do about it.

You would be better: off trying to put your period off by using birth control.  See your physician about the possibility of doing this.  I know of no way to have your period early and guarantee you will not still bleed on your trip.
