Yes (dental): Not at all sure about epidurals used in childbirth but many dental local anesthetics have Epinephrine (adrenaline) to prolong the anesthetic effect. This can definitely cause palpitations depending on your sensitivity to it. Syncope is usually due to anxiety associated with the injection so not technically ingredient related. I'm not aware of any ingredients in dental preparations that cause fever.

Accepted Answer

Depends on cause!: Regular exercise decreases circulating catecholamines, which increase the risk of common palpitations.  But there are some types, where exercise should pose a danger.  I would recommend a hoter monitor test to decide if it is a pat vs pvc!

Probably normal: As the hr increases with exercise, it is expected that most people will be aware of it. This is not a problem. However, while exercising, if you suddenly become aware of a unusually rapid heart beat (as is a switch was suddenly turned on), the that should be checked out. A treadmill stress test or a monitor worn while exercising would provide the answer. These are usually not life-threatening.

Accepted Answer

Relax: Try relaxation techniques.  If this is not helpful, there are medications, such as beta-blockers that may be helpful.  Consider talking with a physician about trying some medication for this problem.  Which medication can be most helpful for controlling palpitations, without untoward side effects, can depend on a number of individual factors.

Palpitations: To determine whether you're experiencing abnormal cardiac rhythm during those palpitations, either an EKG or an outpatient heart monitoring would have to capture the heart rhythm during the symptoms. Since the symptoms may occur with exercise, I advise consulting a cardiologist for a heart examination and a treadmill stress test for peace of mind.

Palpitations: These are caused by many things. Stress, excitement, irritants both physical and chemical, pressure like a hiatal hernia or esophageal push or pull, and primary heart things, the causes are very many in number.

Palpitations: Palpitations during and after exercise would be a reason to get checked out to see what might be the cause. Most of us don't have them during exercise.

Palpitations: Normally, you can feel palpitations during exertion or stress but random occurrence is unusual. Blood work, EKG, Holter may be needed. Please see a heart specialist.

Yes: It can be , my advise do not consume more than two cups a day, than way u can avoid the palpitation and still enjoy  u coffee.

Time to see a doctor: A young woman who feels palpitations should be checked by her primary care doctor (family medicine or internal medicine, not Ob-Gyn) to make sure her body is ok from a general check-up point of view, and to listen to her heart. It could be a thyroid hormone problem, or could be that her heart is beating irregularly for another reason, etc... Additionally, a cardiologist can also evaluate.
